Spandex to Showcase Gerber’s Solara ionx UV inkjet printer at The Sign Show 2008
Spandex, the one-stop supplier of integrated, start-to-finish solutions to the sign making and digital printing world wide, has announced that Gerber’s recently launched UV inkjet printer, the Gerber Solara ionx will spearhead its product line up on stand E3 at The Sign Show (Coventry, 2nd -4th September). Spandex will also display its latest modular Sign and Display Systems range, as well as key offerings from its popular digital and sign making materials portfolio.
The show will also see Spandex extend its successful family of display products, with the launch of its Curved Pop-up Display 500 Series. This highly portable, quality system is extremely durable and offers a quick solution for large scale images, enabling seamless viewing of graphics. In addition, Spandex’s comprehensive range of modular sign systems on display will comprise the recently redesigned classic C-Fix range, as well as stylish and extremely versatile interior and exterior directory systems.
Spandex offers the industry’s widest range of media brands and will introduce new materials from 3M, Avery and Mactac, as well as its own exclusive ImagePerfect™ brand.

The Gerber Solara ionx is a flatbed/roll-to-roll, wide-format, UV inkjet printer featuring advanced GerberCAT™ cationic inks and Cold Fire Cure™ technology. Cold Fire Cure™ technology is a unique UV curing process that provides revolutionary inkjet curing features by using low energy and low temperatures to cure the proprietary GerberCAT™ cationic inks. As a result, the range of printable substrates is significantly expanded. The Gerber Solara ionx delivers high print quality at impressive speeds of up 60m2/h on rigid and flexible, outdoor-durable graphics.
