Gerber Edge FX
The GERBER EDGE FX digital printing system is an easy to use solution for sign makers, screen printers and other graphic professionals seeking to quickly produce highly-customized, highly-profitable short-run graphics. The EDGE FX uses heat and pressure to infuse durable resin pigments to more than 30 different substrates.
EDGE FX’s exceptional colour and material range provides unsurpassed versatility, accommodating a wide range of applications in a single, affordable printing and contour cutting system. Think the EDGE FX is too small? Plenty of EDGE FX owners create profitable and widely accepted large format graphics in panels (which become invisible at a viewing distance greater than 6 feet). Small panels are much easier to install (and replace in the event of getting damaged) than larger ones. The EDGE FX is ideal for any business that creates visual signage including screen printers, sign companies, exhibition houses, trophy shops, fleet graphics artists, museums, and specialty sellers.
EDGE Ready™ materials
The Gerber Edge FX prints direct to a whole host of EDGE Ready specialty materials. The applications are as diverse as big, one way window graphics and small custom shaped, contour-cut labels. Be able to offer your customers hundreds of marketable products. The selection of Edge Ready™ Materials includes cast and calendered vinyls in addition to a range of specialty materials such as magnetic, reflective, metallic colours, label stock and much more.
GerberColor™ Foils
GerberColor™ foils are specially formulated for the GERBER EDGE® Series of thermal transfer printers. Print spot, metallic, and process colours with the durability to withstand harsh exterior and industrial environments, including abrasion and UV exposure for three to five years. Simply send your job to the printer, snap in a color foil cartridge and go! Use GerberColor Spectratone™ to create more than 3,000 smooth spot colours.
GerberColor - Spot Series
GerberColor Spot Series (GCS) foils are available in a wide range of smooth, consistent pigments that match popular vinyls, films, inks and paints. In addition, GerberColor Spot foils are a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to a four-color process for one, two, or three-color jobs and offer color matches that cannot be achieved with a four-color process. Most GerberColor Foils have three-to-five year outdoor-durability without lamination.
GerberColor™ Spectratone
Save time and generate better quality graphics with dedicated spot colors. The EDGE FX uses Gerber's unique SpectraTone™ Color Matching system to print well over 3000 accurate spot colours. By printing one spot colour on top of another, you create a new colour result. Additionally, you can also print a single EDGE Spot colour onto any coloured vinyl to achieve even greater colour expansion. Gerber offers a preprinted sample book of GerberColor Spectratone colors, or use Gerber OMEGA to print a GerberColor Spectratone color chart based on the colors you have in your inventory.
Process and specialty colours
In addition to spot colors, Gerber process, metal and fluorescent foils allow you to create vivid full colour images for special applications.
Advanced Foil System
The smart GerberGauge™ RFID technology tracks the exact foil usage. Estimate the remaining foil length on GerberColor cartridges to help prevent unexpected run-out, wasted foil and material. Markings along the edge of the foil appear approximately every 10 cm over the length of the foil to indicate the minimum amount remaining. Displayed in both meters and yards.
