Gerber OMEGA™ 4.0

OMEGA™ 4.0 is Gerber's latest sign design and production software for cutting, imaging or both.

While OMEGA 4.0 included scores of features to improve the design process, OMEGA 4.0 is packed with output features for vinyl cutting, routing, GERBER EDGE® and EDGE FX™ thermal transfer Printing and inkjet workflow/import/export improvements.

OMEGA is intuitive, versatile, and easy to use—a software powerhouse that has the capability to enable a beginner and propel the expert.

OMEGA 4.0 is available in different configurations

OMEGA™ CP 4.0
Includes all the tools you need to create and output advanced cut vinyl and router jobs, plus has color assignment and output capabilities for all GERBER EDGE® series and GERBER MAXX™ 2 thermal transfer printers. Includes ARTPath software.

OMEGA™ CS 4.0
Includes all the tools you need to create and output cut vinyl and router jobs, however it cannot output to thermal transfer printers.

OMEGA™ Layout Station 4.0
Allows for complete design activities without any output. Show customers concepts in the front office. Design on a laptop away from the shop. Add design stations and save files to a network folder for output.

OMEGA™ Plot Station 4.0
Includes all the output capabilities of OMEGA CP with no design capabilities. Offers additional cutting, rendering, and even routing capabilities with no design features. Use this station to keep output devices separate from design areas.

New Backcut Dialog Box

A backcut decal has a traditional front-cut (or kisscut), then the vinyl is flipped over and the liner is also cut so the final decals can be easily separated from the liner. There is a small offset between the front cut and backcut decals, allowing the decals to stay in place after the backcutting is done.

1. Front Cut the Job as usual

2. Backcut the job with an offset from the frontcut decals.

3. Weed the job and decals are released from the liner. 



With OMEGA 4.0, finished backcut graphic creation can be accomplished much more easily than ever before!

ReAction

ReAction is an important feature that makes editing of designs much simpler and faster. For example, if you have a design with text, outlines, shadows and colours assigned, you can change any of the elements and the change is automatically reflected in all of the functions.

1. Change text & Font effortlessly

2. All functions such as outlines, colours and highlights are adjusted automatically

3. Dropshadows are adjusted when the font or text changes

Even graphical edits such as moving and sizing designs is easier and faster. Plus you can add value to designs very quickly and easily with the new soft shadow, perspective shadow, medial axis, and pre-made design templates.
