Gerber CAT UV is versatile

The Gerber CAT UV is easily the most versatile UV printer in the market today.

A true flatbed with roll-to-roll printer functionality as standard; supporting the widest array of applications makes it the printer of choice for any sign, screen or digital print shop.

Since the CAT UV has two different dedicated platforms for printing rigid and rolled substrates there is no need to reconfigure the printer to accommodate a different material. Rolled material may remain loaded on the printer's winding unit while printing a rigid job.

GerberCAT™ cationic inks

The GerberCAT™ cationic UV-inks cure completely through using newly developed low-energy lamps. This process (called Cold Fire Cure™) generates very little heat; GerberCAT™ inks cure at room temperature.

This means that heat sensitive plastics, vinyl, fabrics, and even paper based materials can be printed with GerberCAT™ inks without any concern for ink adhesion or material damage. In addition, GerberCAT™ inks offer an outdoor-durable life span of up to three years.

GerberCAT™ inks provide unmatched adhesion onto the widest range of materials, even on difficult surfaces such as correx and dibond. GerberCAT™ inks have a strong, yet flexible mechanical bond that is immediately usable.

Cold Fire Cure™ technology

Gerber’s patent-pending Cold Fire Cure™ system provides features in ink jet curing that are nothing less than revolutionary. Cold Fire Cure™ offers a vast array of benefits over any competitive curing process in the areas of material compatibility, cost of operation, and environmental, health and safety.

Cold Fire Cure™ employs specialized UV lamps that run the full length of the gantry (approximately 165cm) to provide a very specific wavelength of UV light which cures the GerberCAT inks.

The combination of Cold Fire Cure™ and GerberCAT™ makes this one of the most desired printers in the market today. The versatility of the Gerber CAT opens the door to a huge application set such as real estate signage, backlit, traffic signage, exhibit display, banners and textiles all through one printing system.
